"Participating in the Unified Basketball Program at Western University was an extremely rewarding experience. I believe joining people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team really fosters social inclusion and understanding. The friendships and memories created over the 4 month league will absolutely be highlights of my time at Western University. It was remarkable to witness the increase in confidence of all participants (Unified partners and Special Olympics athletes) over the course of the program, both on and off the court. I can't wait to be part of the Unified Program again this year!" – Stephanie (Western Student Athlete)

“I loved playing in the Unified competition in Toronto. It was so much fun playing with the Western students. I
liked making friends with everyone. I am signing up for this year too.” Valerie (Special Olympics Athlete)
